The Oak Harbor Wildcats have offered to accept second place in the Wesco 3A North football standings after Friday’s game against Marysville Pilchuck was postponed in the wake of Friday’s shootings at Marysville Pilchuck High School.
Oak Harbor head coach Jay Turner and Marysville superintendent Becky Berg have confirmed the Wildcats have made the offer.
“Big shout out to Oak Harbor for taking 2nd Place in WESCO North. You guys are the real League Champions,” Marysville Pilchuck senior running back and defensive back Nic Alonso said on Twitter.
