LOS ANGELES — Jazmine Davis scored 23 points and Regina Rogers finished with 21 as Washington defeated Oregon 72-56 in the opening game of the Pac-12 women’s tournament on Wednesday.
The Huskies (17-12), the eighth seed in the tournament, have won four of their last five games, and earned a second-round game against No. 2 Stanford (28-1).
Davis, who was voted the conference’s top freshman, made all seven of her 3-pointers in the first half as the Huskies built a 41-22 lead.
Kellie McCann-Smith scored 11 points. Aminah Williams grabbed 16 rebounds and Mackenzie Argens had 10 boards for Washington, which enjoyed a 51-27 rebounding advantage.
Jasmin Holliday led ninth-seeded Oregon (15-16) with 17 points. Danielle Love had 11 points and Amanda Johnson 10 points and eight rebounds for the Ducks.
