SEATTLE — Jackson High School alum Kristi Kingma led the Washington Huskies women’s basketball team with 22 points in a 92-57 exhibition victory over Corban College Monday.
Kingma, a true freshman, was 3-for-4 from behind the 3-point arc and 8-for-15 from the field with seven rebounds and three steals.
Oak Harbor alum Heidi McNeill had six points and a game-high 12 rebounds and Monroe alum Sarah Morton had four points in 11 minutes of play.
All 11 Huskies who played scored and all but one had at least one rebound.
Corban College forward Katie Steigleman scored a game high 23 points.
Two minutes into the contest, Washington went on a 17-1 run to go up 19-5 at 12:20. The Huskies led by as much as 28 with just over two minutes in the half before a 50-28 halftime score.
A 15-2 run early in the second half brought the Huskies to their greatest margin of 38 points (70-32) with 12:08 remaining in the contest.
Washington shot 47.9 percent from the field and had a +12 turnover margin.
