SEATTLE — University of Washington running back Chris Polk, a redshirt freshman who sat out most of the 2008 season because of a shoulder injury, was named to the College Football News second-team, all-America freshman team.
Polk rushed for 1,113 yards this season to become the first UW freshman to go over the 1,000-yard barrier.
