EVERETT — Reid VanScoter pitched six scoreless innings, James Parker hit a two-run home run and the Everett AquaSox moved above .500 with a 7-3 win over the Vancouver Canadians on Saturday at Funko Field.
Parker’s homer capped a four-run fourth inning for the AquaSox (7-6). Tyler Locklear scored on a passed ball and Ben Ramirez came around on a wild pitch to start the scoring.
Ramirez added a run-scoring single in the fifth and Axel Sancez followed with another for a 6-0 lead.
Riley Tirotta provided a three-run blast in the seventh for Vancouver (5-5), which mustered just three hits.
Everett’s Charlie Welch added insurance with a solo shot in the eighth.
VanScoter (2-0) fanned seven batters and allowed just three hits and one walk.
Dahian Santos (0-1) took the loss for the Canadians after surrendering four runs on two hits and five walks over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out six.
