Gobel, a junior, picked up a 6-3, 0-6, 7-6 victory at No. 2 singles on April 29 to help the Grizzlies edge Mount Vernon 4-3 in a Wesco 4A match.

Dominic Hellman

Jackson | Baseball

Hellman, a freshman, worked 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief in Jackson’s 8-2 victory over Mount Si on Thursday in a 4A Wes-King Bi-District tournament play-in game. Hellman did not allow a hit, struck out two and walked one.

Kyle Houk

Meadowdale | Boys Soccer

Houk, a junior, saved all three penalty kicks he faced Saturday, lifting the Mavericks to a shootout victory over Snohomish in the first round of the 3A District tournament.

Ronny Kildall

Everett | Boys Golf

Kildall fired a 1-over-par 69 on April 30 to claim medalist honors at a Wesco 3A North match at Legion Memorial Golf Course in Everett. Kildall helped the Seagulls take the top spot in the team results.

Nani Marinez

Edmonds-Woodway | Softball

Marinez, a senior, went 4-for-4 with a double, a triple and two RBI as the Warriors shut out Archbishop Murphy 7-0 Thursday.

Hannah Petterson

Meadowdale | Girls Golf

Petterson, as enior, shot an 8-over-par 41 on April 30 to earn medalist honors in a Wesco 3A/2A South match against Mountlake Terrace at Lynnwood Golf Course.

Amaya Poole

Jackson | Girls Track and Field

Poole, a senior, won the 100-meter race in a time of 13.06 seconds and the 200 in 27.53 at the Everett School District Championships on Friday at Everett Memorial Stadium. She also helped the Timberwolves’ 4×200 relay team to a first-place finish.

Michael Purl

Cascade | Boys Track and Field

Purl, a sophomore, won the 100 in 11.69 and the 200 in 23.62 at the Everett School District Championships on Friday at Everett Memorial Stadium. He also helped the Seagulls’ 4×100 relay team to a first-place finish.
