The senior became a league champion for the fourth straight year as she won the Wesco 4A meet on Oct. 26 by finishing the 5,000-meter course at Granite Falls High School in 18 minutes, 51.16 seconds. Bangerter won The Herald’s Athlete of the Week for Oct. 20-26 by claiming (78.83%) of the votes.
Brody Strandt | Snohomish Football
The senior running back rushed for 230 yards on 29 carries and scored four touchdowns as the Panthers won their first game of the season. Strandt won The Herald’s Football Athlete of the Week for Oct. 20-26 by claiming (76.95%) of the votes.

Mason Davis | Monroe Football
The senior receiver caught five passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns as the Bearcats held off Oak Harbor in double overtime on Nov. 1.
Grady Fournier | Arlington Boys Cross Country
The senior finished second at the 4A District 1/2 Cross Country Championships on Nov. 2 with a personal-record time of 15 minutes, 15.29 seconds to lead the Eagles to the team title.
Sammy Holmer | Lynnwood Volleyball
The senior outside hitter tallied 16 kills and 13 digs on Oct. 28 and followed that up two days later with 20 kills and 14 digs as the Royals became only the second team this season to beat Edmonds-Woodway.
Claire Wright | Darrington Volleyball
The senior outside hitter dominated with 49 kills and 53 digs last week as the Loggers claimed the 1B District 1 Tournament.
