The freshman helped the Panthers stay perfect through Oct. 5 by sweeping two No. 1 singles matches last week. He dropped only two games, winning by scores of 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 and 6-2. Fawcett won The Herald’s Athlete of the Week for Sept. 29-Oct. 5 by claiming 297 (47.67%) of the 623 votes.

Laura Eichert | Lake Stevens | Volleyball
The junior outside hitter put together a pair of dominant performance last week. Eichert recorded 17 kills, seven digs and five service aces in a 3-0 victory over Cascade on Oct. 7. One night later, the Vikings lost 3-1 to third-ranked Wenatchee, but Eichert tallied 28 kills and 13 digs.

Edmonds-Woodway’s Aliah Karl (17 minutes, 6.5 seconds) edged teammate Phoebe Budell for medalist honors to lead the Warriors to team victory.

Landon Smith’s time of 13 minutes, 15.4 seconds in a 4,000-meter race at Lynndale Park led the Mavericks to a win over Edmonds-Woodway ant Everett
Jersey Walker | Arlington | Girls Soccer
The senior midfielder/forward recorded a hat trick in the Eagles’ 5-0 victory over Cascade on Oct. 9.
