Colby Bossert | Jackson
The junior quarterback threw for 225 yards and four touchdowns in three quarters of work in a 54-21 triumph over Mariner. He also rushed for 25 yards and — though not a football stat — was named homecoming king at halftime. Bossert won The Herald’s Athlete of the Week for Oct. 13-19 by claiming 768 (58.18%) of 1,320 votes.

Brody Strandt | Snohomish
The senior running back rushed for 230 yards on 29 carries and scored four touchdowns as the Panthers won their first game of the season.
Julio Vargas Jr. | Sultan
The Junior receiver gained 179 yards and scored three times on five touches as the Turks defeated Centralia 38-7.
Carl Watson III | Monroe
The senior running back accumulated 246 yards and four touchdowns in a 56-9 victory. Watson rushed 17 times for 132 yards and two scores and caught two TD passes covering 114 yards as the Bearcats clinched the Wesco 3A South title.
Mason Wilson | Mountlake Terrace
The sophomore carried the ball 15 times for 163 yards and two touchdowns, completed both of his pass attempts for 19 yards and led the Hawks with nine tackles on defense in a 28-17 victory over Edmonds-Woodway.
