Voting for the 2011 WNBA all-star game began last Saturday.
This year’s showcase of stars will be held in San Antonio at 12:30 p.m. on July 23 live on ABC. San Antonio is the first Western Conference team to host the game since the Phoenix Mercury did it in 2000.
Voting can be done daily on wnba.com and through mobile phones by texting the player’s last name to 69622 or by visiting the league’s website through any mobile carrier.
Voters are asked to select two guards, two forwards and one center from each conference. A write-in option is also available, allowing voters to choose a player not listed among the 60 names on the ballot.
Voting ends at 9 p.m. PDT on July 10.
The WNBA will name the starters during the July 14 game broadcast on ESPN 2 between the Storm and the San Antonio Silver Stars. The reserves, which are selected by the league’s coaches will be announced on July 19.
