SEATTLE — Freshman guard Isaiah Thomas scored a career-high 27 points and Jon Brockman grabbed the 1,000th rebound of his career Tuesday night as Washington extended its winning streak to seven, beating Morgan State 81-67.
Senior center Brockman, who sat out nearly 11 minutes of the second half after picking up his fourth foul with 16:55 left in the game, added 18 points for the Huskies (9-3). He finished the night with five rebounds, giving him 1,004. He is within 47 rebounds of the all-time Washington career record of 1,051 set by Doug Smart from 1957-59.
Thomas’ previous career high for the Huskies was 19 points on Nov. 20 against Florida International.
Reggie Holmes led Morgan State (5-8) with 16 points. Jermaine Bolden had 15 points, and Marquise Kately chipped in 14.
