TUCSON, Ariz. — Danielle LeNoir scored 15 points as Washington State beat Arizona 63-56 Thursday night to complete its first Pac-10 sweep of an opponent in eight years.
The last time Washington State (11-16, 4-12 Pac-10) swept a conference foe was Oregon during the 2000-2001 season.
The Cougars beat the Wildcats (10-17, 3-12) on Jan. 31. They last swept Arizona in 1996.
April Cook capped a 14-3 run with a lay-in for a 55-43 Cougars’ lead with 4:53 remaining. The Wildcats had only one field goal in a seven-minute stretch.
Arizona played without Ify Ibekwe, the Pac-10’s third leading scorer and top rebounder, because of a left knee injury.
Cook and Jazmine Perkins each added 12 points for Washington State, which led 32-29 at halftime.
Amina Njonkou led the Wildcats with 16 points.
