The Western Hockey League and Interactive Netcasting Systems Inc. (INSINC) last week announced plans to broadcast the entire 2005-06 WHL regular season and 2006 WHL playoff games via the Internet live on a pay-per-view (PPV) broadband basis.
The webcasting started Friday on opening night of the WHL regular season. The majority of the broadcasts will be provided using a special “scout feed” that combines a quality camera and the live audio from the team radio broadcasts.
INSINC is offering Silvertips and WHL fans four different plans:
Single game pass
Only available the day of the game. Cost: $5.95 per game.
Watch live games for a 30-day period. Cost: $29.95 per month.
Monthly complete pass
Watch live and archived games for a 30-day period. Cost: $49.95 per month.
Season pass
Watch live and archived games all season. Cost: $249.95.
Webcasts for all teams will be made available on the WHL website located at www.whl.ca or on each of the WHL team’s websites – including the Everett Silvertips at www.everettsilvertips.com.
