RENTON — The two long receiving touchdowns Leonard Weaver scored on Sunday not only led his Seattle Seahawks to victory but also put his name in the history books.
According to research done by the Seahawks, Weaver became just the fifth NFL running back to score two receiving touchdowns of 43 or more yards in the same game. Weaver scored from 43 and 62 yards out in helping the Seahawks beat San Francisco 34-13 on Sunday.
The only other running backs to perform the feat were Miami’s Patrick Cobbs (two weeks ago), Cleveland’s Eric Metcalf (in 1992), Buffalo’s Joe Cribbs (in 1981) and San Diego’s Don Woods (in 1974).
