The Phoenix Mercury took over the top spot in the Western Conference on Wednesday night, winning a 112-105 shootout over the Minnesota Lynx.
Diana Taurasi scored 27 points to help the Mercury (9-4) comeback from an 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter. Seimone Augustus led the Lynx (7-4) with 22 points.
It was the ninth win in 10 games for the Mercury.
The Indiana Fever became the WNBA’s first 10-win team on Wednesday with a 90-78 over the Connecticut Sun.
Katie Douglas scored 20 points to lead the Fever (10-3), Jessica Davenport scored 14 and Tamika Catchings and Erin Phillips each added 13. Tan White scored 17 points to lead Connecticut (6-5).
It was the seventh consecutive victory for the Fever.
The New York Liberty won for the sixth time in seven games with a 91-69 victory over the Atlanta Dream.
Nicole Powell led the Liberty (8-5) with 20 points and Kia Vaughn added 14. Angel McCoughtry led the Dream (3-9) with 17 points.
The Chicago Sky also earned a 72-54 victory over the Tulsa Shock on Wednesday.
Sylvia Fowles scored 21 points to lead the Sky (7-7). Jennifer Lacy led the Shock (1-12) with 13.
