Not a lot of news today from Tyrone Willingham. He did give a yes to the question of whether Jake Locker would start or not, something he wasn’t willing to do earlier this week. Willingham said that Locker, “moved around very well, much like his old self” at practice Tuesday.
As for other injuries, he said Byron Davenport’s bruised knee is getting better, and that he’ll likely play. Linebacker Donald Butler, however, has “not made as much progress as we’d like,” Willingham said, and it seems unlikely that Butler will play this week.
On to some links.
We had this story today on WSU kicker Romeen Abdollmohammadi, who played only one year of high school football at Stanwood, yet is a scholarship kicker four years later.
We also had this notebook that leads off with Corey Williams, who seems at peace with his place in Apple Cup history, even though that memorable catch his freshman year ended up the high point of his UW career.
