We know for sure that the Seahawks will start their third different left tackle this week, and it sounds like that job will probably fall to Kyle Williams, not Damion McIntosh, who was signed yesterday.
Williams, a recent call up from the practice squad, is the likely starter for Sunday’s game, Jim Mora said in his press conference today. Williams, in his third year out of USC, played in four games last year, starting two.
DE Patrick Kerney, who missed last week’s game with a groin sprain, is expected to be back at practice in a limited role today, and Mora said he was hopeful Kerney would play. Cornerback Travis Fisher (hamstring) is also expected to be at practice.
C.J. Wallace, a backup safety and special teams regular, will miss this week’s game with a hamstring injury and be re-evaluated after the bye.
As for Brandon Frye, who was place on injured reserve, Mora said the tackle’s neck injury was more serious than a stinger, noting that Frye lost some feeling when he went to the ground, but did not get into the specifics of the injury.
Ken Lucas, whose father passed away last week, is back home with family and won’t practice, but is expected to be back for Sunday’s game.
Justin Griffith is expected to return as the starting fullback.
