Welch homers twice, AquaSox top Indians

Everett pounds out 15 hits in a 12-5 win over Spokane.

SPOKANE — Charlie Welch homered twice and drove in four runs to lead the Everett AquaSox to a 12-5 win over the Spokane Indians on Saturday night.

Welch finished 3-for-5 with three runs scored, and Spencer Packard, Victor Labrada, Dariel Gomez and Cole Barr all had two hits for an AquaSox offense that pounded out 15 total in the game.

Bryce Miller started and allowed three runs on seven hits in five inning for Everett (18-24). Miller improved to 3-0 on the season with an ERA of 1.42.

Eddy Diaz went 3-for-4, and Drew Romo and Robby Martin Jr. had two hits each for Spokane (24-18).
