It hasn’t taken Eric Byrnes long to hook up with another team. Three days after the Mariners released him, Byrnes was playing softball Wednesday night for the Dutch Goose team in Menlo Park, Calif.
Here’s a story by MLB.com on Byrnes. It doesn’t say if it’s fastpitch or slow, but if it’s slowpitch my guess is he’ll be a star, partly because there’s no bunting in that game (Yeah, that was cruel).
