At Moose Jaw, Sask., Jason Bast scored the game-winning goal 4:57 into the third period as the Warriors beat the Brandon Wheat Kings. Ian Duval scored twice for the Warriors (8-21-0-1), while Travis Hamonic, Martin Filo and Cody Smuk also scored.
Jay Fehr, Del Cowan and Aaron Lewadniuk scored for the Wheat Kings (17-12-1-1).
At Edmonton, Brendan Dowd scored twice to give the Oil Kings a win over the Swift Current Broncos. Drew Nichol got the scoring started with his first WHL goal, giving Edmonton (15-17-1-3) a 1-0 lead at the 9:11 mark of the first period. Swift Current (17-14-0-1) responded 20 seconds later, Justin Dowling wristing it top corner.
At Chilliwack, Dustin Tokarski made 23 saves to lead the Spokane Chiefs over the Bruins. Drayson Bowman scored for Spokane (19-9-0-3). Mark Friesen stopped 45 shots for Chilliwack (9-20-2-2).
At Lethbridge, Alta., C.J. Stretch scored two goals, including the game-winner in the third period, as Kamloops beat the Hurricanes. Brendan Ranford and Nick Ross scored the other goals for Kamloops (14-16-4). Carter Ashton, with two, and Carter Bancks scored for Lethbridge (18-13-1).
