Who should be the Athlete of the Week for Nov. 26-Dec. 2?

The Prep Athlete of the Week nominees for Nov. 26-Dec. 2. Voting closes at midnight Sunday. The winner will be announced on next week’s Prep Focus page.

Richard Chung

Kamiak | Boys Wrestling

Chung, a junior, captured first place in the 113-pound weight class Saturday at the Edmonds Invitational. The meet featured 33 teams from around the state.

Kasen Kinchen

Lake Stevens | Football

Kinchen, a junior, had nine catches for 123 yards and a touchdown Saturday in the Vikings’ 52-20 loss to Union in the Class 4A state championship game.

Amayah Kirkman

Lynnwood | Girls Basketball

Kirkman, a junior, accounted for more than half her team’s points in a pair of victories last week. She scored 34 points in the Royals’ 62-42 season-opening victory over Kamiak on Nov. 27, then added 27 in a 49-48 win over Bothell on Thursday. In the latter game, Kirkman made four free throws in the final 30 seconds to seal the win.

Grayson LeCompte

Edmonds-Woodway | Boys Wrestling

LeCompte, a senior, placed first in the 132-pound weight class Saturday at the Edmonds Invitational.

Christian Liddell

Jackson | Boys Basketball

Liddell, a senior, averaged 24 points per game in a pair of wins last week. He scored 22 in a 75-58 victory over North Kitsap on Wednesday, and tallied 26 in a 73-62 win over Skyview on Saturday.
