Chinook fishing in the San Juan Islands remains good – and at times, very good – when weather conditions have allowed the fleet to get on the water. WDFW checks on Sunday, for instance, showed 45 anglers at the Washingto Park ramp in Anacortes with 15 blackmouth.
As for big lakers, and If a double-digit Mackinaw is the name of your game, then winter on Lake Chelan is the place to be. It’s big-fish time, according to Anton Jones of Darrell & Dad’s Family Guide Service, citing a Florida party nailing (among others) fish of 15 and 17 pounds on December 28.
