What a breakdown for Washington. It looked like it was going to get out of what had to be a taxing drive with just a field goal. Unless you’re a Husky fan, you have to love the way Pete Carroll coaches, he will do anything at any time, as proven just now on that fake field goal. The Huskies must have thought Steve Smith was headed out of the game because he was wide, wide, wide open. I sure didn’t see him over there. That’s an 18-play drive that went 96 yards, that has to wear on the UW defense. It’s clear the Trojans are going to test the UW secondary today.
Dwayne Jarrett played a little on the first drive, which was a surprise, as all indications were he would sit out this game unless necessary.
Dan Howell was great on the first drive, he was everywhere, but it’s warm on the field (75 degrees) so we’ll see how much Washington has if it has to endure long drives like that.
