I’m always trying to use color, and as often as not, failing miserably. Because except for cereal boxes and corporate logos the world is not filled with bright colors. Though most places are not quite grey, they look dingy, with the colors faded by time, covered in thin layers of dust, poorly lit, or a combination of all three. So having a bright orange object as the focus of a picture was really exciting for me, combined with Richard Reed’s intense expression makes this a photograph I think worthy of a second look.
