Here’s a week’s worth of things to do in and around the community:
Week 1
Day 1– May 27:
Description: Low-tide beach walks
Location: Richmond Beach Saltwater Park, 2021 NW 190th St., Shoreline.
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cost: Free
Other: Join beach naturalists for informative beach walks; dress for the weather, waterproof footwear is recommended.
Day 2 – May 28:
Description: Lake Forest Park Farmer’s Market
Location: Lake Forest Park Towne Centre, 17171 Bothell Way NE., Lake Forest Park
Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cost: Free, unless you purchase farm-fresh asparagus, garlic, honey, onions, plants or flowers.
Day 3 – May 29:
Description: Yost Pool opens for the summer
Location: 9535 Bowdoin Way, Edmonds
Time: Varies with day and activity
Cost: Daily-use fees are $3 for youth ages 4-17, the disabled and seniors 55 and older; $3.50 for adults and $9.50 per family. Discount punch card also available
Other: Half-price swims Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoon during open-swim times
Day 4 – May 30:
Description: Walk/bike or in-line skate on Mill Creek’s North Creek Trail
Location: Between McCollum Park on 128th Street and Mill Creek Town Center
Time: Daylight hours
Cost: Free
Other: Approximately five miles round trip, the paved trail winds its way along the woods, with viewpoints and displays about adjoining wetlands. Also features a sitting bench and picnic table.
Day 5 – May 31:
Description: Woodcarving
Location: South County Senior Center, 220 Railroad Ave., Edmonds.
Time: 9 -11 a.m.
Cost: $5

Day 6 – June 1:
Description: Cooking Classes by Central Market and Cascadia Community College
Location: Central Market – Mill Creek Town Center, 15605 Main St., Mill Creek.
Time: Noon-2 p.m.
Cost: See registration.

Day 7 – June 2:
Description: Edmonds Parks &Recreation’s Annual Spring Gymnastics Show
Location: Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main St.
Time: School-age children perform 6-8 p.m. Friday and preschoolers perform 10 a.m. and noon Saturday (June 3)
