Brad Canfield has joined 1st Security Bank of Washington as chief financial officer after a 20 year career at BECU. In his role as vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer at BECU, Mr. Canfield was accountable for all internal and external financial reporting, and the entire spectrum of regulatory filing requirements. He had oversight responsibilities for BECU’s administration division, which included all facets of facilities management, business continuity, payment systems, compliance, and the information protection program. He is active in the community, having served on the board of directors for Woodland Park Zoological, the Center for Educational Excellence, and the Hope Heart Institute.
Drew Ness has also joined 1st Security Bank of Washington as chief operating officer. Mr. Ness most recently served as vice president and manager of the Corporate Deposit Operations Department for Washington Federal Savings, following its acquisition of First Mutual Bank where Mr. Ness served as vice president and administrative/operations manager of the retail banking group for four years. He has 18 years of diverse banking experience, including retail branch sales and service, branch network management, and national customer service training experience.
