A taste of … Tom Douglas

The Taste of Edmonds hosts one of the Northwest’s most recognized chefs, Chef Tom Douglas, as he brings his weekly KIRO 710 AM radio show to the event’s wine &cheese garden for a live broadcast from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14.

Douglas has risen to national and international prominence in the culinary world for bringing attention to the unique flavors of Northwest cuisine. Douglas and his wife Jackie Cross own four of Seattle’s most innovative restaurants: Palace Kitchen, Etta’s, Dahlia Lounge and Lola’s. Douglas is the author of “Tom’s Big Dinners” and of “Tom Douglas’ Seattle Kitchen,” named Best American Cookbook by the James Beard Foundation in 2001. His radio show offers food lovers advice and information on a wide variety of culinary topics, from hosting dinner parties to the perfect wines for those hard to match meals.

Meet Douglas in the Taste’s wine and cheese garden after his live broadcast, where he will be available to sign cookbooks and answer questions after the show, from 2 to 3 p.m.

The three day Taste of Edmonds takes place Friday, Aug. 13, Saturday, Aug. 14 and Sunday, Aug. 15 at the Civic Playfield, located at 6th &Bell in downtown Edmonds. Admission is $2 general, free for ages 2 and under. For more information visit www.edmondswa.com.
