A five-car accident in the 3500 block of 132nd Street SE closed part of the road for almost two hours the day before Thanksgiving.

At about 1 p.m. on Nov. 22, a 50-year-old driving east on 132nd Street SE failed to stop in time to avoid colliding with a line of vehicles stopped for the red light at 35th Avenue SE, according to Mill Creek police.

The man suffered a head injury and was taken by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. No other injuries were reported.

Police closed the road’s two eastbound lanes at 29th Avenue SE to investigate the accident and redirected traffic. Police reopened 132nd Street at about 3 p.m.
