KIRKLAND — Zodiac Aerospace announced Thursday that it had purchased Greenpoint Technologies, a Kirkland-based aerospace firm which owns a share of Everett’s Aviation Technical Services.
Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
Plaisir, France-based Zodiac employs more than 26,000 people worldwide including 2,000 in Washington. The company supplies assemblies, components and parts, including airplane interiors, seats and evacuation systems to Boeing and other aerospace companies.
Greenpoint builds VIP cabin interiors for widebody aircraft and provides interior design and fabrication for Boeing Business Jets. The company, which has a subsidiary in Denton, Texas, employs 450 and has annual revenue of around $150 million.
The Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance in February recognized Jon Buccola, CEO of Greenpoint Technologies, as aerospace executive of the year.
In 2013, Greenpoint joined an ownership group that purchased ATS, a maintenance, repair and overhaul company that’s based at Paine Field. The ownership group included several of ATS executives, Wells Fargo and NewSpring Capital of Radnor, Pennsylvania.
