Edmonds Community College’s American Indian Student Association hosts a night of music, with desserts, featuring violinist Swil Kanim, of the Lummi Nation, and flutist Arlie Neskahi, of the Dine Nation, at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 8.

Kanim’s music was featured prominently in Sherman Alexie’s movie, “The Business of Fancy Dancing.” Neskahi, well known for his performance and composition of traditional music, is the owner of Rainbow Walker Music, a promoter of North American native music.

The cost of the night of music and desserts is $5 for the public, $3 for EdCC staff and seniors 55 and above and $2 for students with ID. The performance takes place at Triton Union Building 202 at Edmonds Community College, located at 20000 68th Ave. W. in Lynnwood.
