A Transportation Security Administration enrollment center has opened at the Port of Everett Security Building. Travelers may apply there for TSA Pre, an aviation security program that allows approved airport travelers to leave on their shoes, outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and their 3-1-1 compliant liquids in a carry-on, in select screening lanes. Bothell-based Essentia Water reported that in 2013 its case sales grew by 64 percent, achieving 10 consecutive years of growth. Essentia also reported record sales for January 2014, with a 42 percent gain over last year. This makes two consecutive years that the brand has experienced year-over-year growth in January.

The Women’s Wellness Center, a non-profit facility in Everett that offers fitness, spa services and lifestyle classes for women, has added additional evening classes. With the approach of Military Saves Week from Feb. 24 to March 1, the First Command Financial Behaviors Index reports that middle-class military families are putting more dollars towards short-term savings than general population households with similar incomes. Military families who work with a financial adviser are putting almost twice as much money into short-term savings as those without an advisor.
