Dear Representative Inslee,
I am a taxpaying resident of the district you represent. I did not vote for you. I don’t have a photo of you and my child (along with your partisan colleagues) on my refrigerator.
I don’t agree with your stand on gun control, and since I do not buy into the “man-made global warming” hoax (pardon me, I see you’ve altered the term to “climate change” just to have all of your bases covered) I’m not impressed by your ill-fated Apollo Project. Since the Democrats have taken control of Congress we are now paying over $4.20/gallon and 57 percent of Americans who support domestic energy exploration have been ignored.
You are on the wrong side of the war in Iraq (you state, “I opposed this war from the beginning and I oppose it just as strongly now.” In case you haven’t noticed, we are winning.) I also don’t agree with your stand on Social Security, the economy and government control of our lives, i.e. taxes. The only solace I get from you being the representative of my district is that you are relatively ineffective as a congressman, thus the harm you do to this country is minimal.
The reason for this letter is to thank you for following the lead of Speaker Pelosi and others of the Democrat leadership and not pursuing impeachment of President Bush. I am sure you realize it is a losing battle that would cause everyone pursuing impeachment to look silly.
Don’t worry about a couple from Lake Forest Park whining about you not proceeding with impeachment. As they stated, they will continue to support you; and thanks for throwing me a bone.
Jim Philbrick
