LYNNWOOD – Everyone generally knows sexual harassment is against the law, but many employers and employees struggle with what actually constitutes sexual harassment under federal and Washington law. They want to provide both their managers and employees with appropriate training, but are not sure what the training should consist of?
For example:
• When does conduct “cross the line” and become legally offensive?
• Can a joke constitute sexual harassment?
• Can a consensual relationship lead to actionable sexual harassment complaints?
• When can owners, managers and supervisors be held personally liable for sexual harassment?
This three-hour class presented by Lynnwood consulting firm All Things HR targets human resources professionals and general managers who want to learn what is incorporated into anti-discrimination and sexual harassment training.
The class will review what an appropriate employee and manager training presentation should include, and provide examples on appropriate, inappropriate and illegal behaviors that employees and managers should know and understand to ensure do not occur in the work environment.
