Applications for the vacancy on the Edmonds City Council are due by April 27.
Applicants can either complete the application on line at www.edmondswa.gov/application-city-council-position.html or get a paper application from the first floor reception desk at City Hall, 121 Fifth Ave. N.
The council plans to interview applicants at a May 22 meeting.
The vacancy was created by the resignation of Councilman Michael Plunkett, effective June 4.
Council President Strom Peterson says that the council plans to make the appointment June 5.
