MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — The Mountlake Terrace Police Department has planned its next Police Citizens Academy 6-9 p.m. Thursdays at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W.
The 12-week program is slated to begin April 12 and run through June 28, concluding with a graduation reception for all participants and their families.
The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. March 30. Space is limited to the first 30 people accepted.
Training sessions include information and demonstrations by K-9, SWAT, narcotics, records and evidence handling staff, as well as a ride-along with an officer.
Applications are at www.cityofmlt.com under “City Services/Police/Community Programs,” or applicants can pick one up at the police station, 5906 232nd St. SW. Completed applications can be returned to the police department.
