Aquasox name Backemeyer executive vice president

Tom Backemeyer has been named executive vice president of The Everett Aquasox. Backemeyer has been in minor league baseball for eight years, serving most recently as the vice president of tickets for the Fresno Grizzlies (AAA – San Francisco) of the Pacific Coast League. He will work closely with Team President Pat Filippone and oversee the club’s day-to-day operations. Backemeyer began his career in baseball with the Nashville Sounds before spending two seasons with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes as director of food services and assistant general manager.
