A report released by Smith Travel Research, Inc. shows hotel occupency in Snohomish County is continuing to decline, down 17.4 percent in November over 2007 to end at 57.9 percent. The county is ranked second place in both ADR and RevPar for November as compared to all reporting counties in the state. Year to date, Snohomish County is second in occupancy and RevPar to King County, and fourth in Average Rate behind King, Kitsap and Kittitas counties.
Average Rate is 2 percent stronger as compared to last year at 89.23 percent for the month compared to the previous year. RevPar ended November at 51.66 percent, the year’s fifth monthly decline as compared to 2007. Occupancy year-to-date is down 7.8 percent.
