The city of Lake Forest Park will officially be designated a Community Wildlife Habitat on Saturday, April 21, at Third Place Commons, 17171 Bothell Way NE. The public is invited to attend the certification event at 12 p.m. and take part in the family events at Lake Forest Park Elementary School, 18500 37th Ave. N.E., from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

To date, only 20 other communities have been recognized nationally with Community Wildlife Habitat certification.
Blood drive at Shoreline City Hall
A blood drive is being held Thursday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Shoreline City Hall.
Residents and those who work in Shoreline are welcome to stop by the blood donation mobile on Midvale Avenue North or make an appointment online at www.psbc.org/programs/drive. No donations will be taken from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
According to the Puget Sound Blood Center, donating blood takes less than an hour and one donation can help up to three people. Those who choose to donate should remember to eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of fluids at least four hours prior to giving blood.
For more information about the blood drive call Shoreline customer response team representative Randy Olin at 206-546-8307.
