Park at old WW school site focus of May 3 meeting
A neighborhood park proposed for the site of the former Woodway Elementary School is the subject of a community meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 3, in the Brackett Room of Edmonds City Hall, 121 Fifth Ave. N.
The city is moving ahead with plans for a 5-1/2-acre park in the southwest corner of Edmonds. The land was bought from the Edmonds School District, which sold an adjacent parcel of similar size to a private developer who intends to build single-family homes there.
The public will be able to discuss with parks and recreation staff and design consultants elements that could be contained in the new park.
