The weather cleared just in time on June 21 for an evening at the Queen Anne home of Cathy Banchero- Malshuk and Steve Malshuk, who along with Steve and Linda Banchero hosted the Banchero Friends Services (BFS) annual wine tasting benefit. Over 80 people attended the event to Support BFS, a non profit agency who provide 24 hour in home support and case management services for adults who have developmental disabilities and live in Shoreline.
“I was almost one of the people who fell through the cracks but Banchero saved me, no matter what I did the staff said they would never give up on me” said agency client Corey Nelson at the event. “Currently I am volunteering at Camp Long, about to find my first real job and will be attending Shoreline Community College in the Fall”.
The evening was made possible by wine donations from award winning sponsor Chatter Creek Winery, food pairings prepared by the board of directors, and the piano playing of Shoreline’s Keith McClelland.
