Benefit concert features DiMiero

Lynnwood Methodist Church continues its Benefit Concert Series Jan. 30 with a performance by local pianist, composer and arranger Debra DeMiero.

The concert will feature DiMeiro in solos, duets and ensembles with several guest musicians, including cellist Angela Sokol Russell and pianist Rick Asher. The program will feature classical works by romantic composers and DeMiero’s original arrangements.

DeMiero earned her masters degree in music fom Washington State University with an emphasis in piano performance. She holds degrees in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from Seattle Pacific University, and an A.A.S. degree from Edmonds Community College, where she was a member of Soundsation and Symphonic Choir. She also accompanies the Sno-King Community Chorale and the Seattle Children’s Chorus, and teaches privately. A regular performer and accompanist for honor choirs and all-state groups throughout her academic career, DeMiero served as musical director and accompanist for La Stella Duo.

Proceeds from the performance will benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Snohomish County. At intermission, beverages and snacks will be for sale with all proceeds donated to the charity.
