Boy duct taped to chair on Burke-Gilman Trail

Here are selected reports from Shoreline and Lake Forest Park police:

Jan. 29

Suspicious circumstances. 16700 block Shore Dr. NE. A teenage boy was duct taped to a chair and put on the Burke-Gilman Trail by other teenage boys.

Threats. 18200 Ballinger Way NE. A high school student received threatening e-mails from a classmate.

Disturbance. 3500 block NE 165th St. Police responded to a noise complaint but did not hear any noise while on the scene.

Jan. 29

Fraud. 1200 block NE 148th St. Police were made aware of a scam where people sign up to do secret shopping and receive counterfeit money orders in their bank accounts.

Vandalism. 19300 block Third Ave. NW. A resident found spray paint on his fence.

Burglary. 16700 block Eighth Ave. NE. Unknown suspects booted a residential door open and stole a 52 inch TV and DVDs.

Larceny. N 155th St. and First Ave. NE. A computer was stolen from a parking lot.

DUI. 15500 block 15th Ave. NE.

Jan. 28

Suspicious circumstances. 2800 block NE 177th Pl. A resident called police after seeing two juveniles in the wooded area of her property.

Burglary. 17700 block 15th Ave. NE. Unknown suspects forced an apartment door open causing the door frame to be broken.

Suspicious person. NE 175th St. and Sunnyside N. Police contacted a male sitting in a wooded area who was heard talking to himself about killing people. He denied talking about killing people and was a bit confrontational.

Suspicious circumstances. 1500 block Ashworth Ave. A bedroom window was found open and a family dog got outside but nothing was stolen or damaged.

Jan. 27

Burglary. 19300 block 21st Ave. NE. A person who lived in a residence five years ago attempted to force entry into their old residence.

Attempted auto theft. 1500 block N 200th St. An unknown suspect attempted to steal a vehicle from a Metro Park and Ride.

Jan. 26

DUI. 1800 block N 175th St. A person was arrested for drinking and driving.

Robbery. 20300 block 15th Ave. NE. A suspect attempted to buy beer from a convenience store during hours in which the purchase is prohibited. Upon learning that he could not purchase beer, the suspect attempted to a kick a locked door open and threatened the store clerk.

Jan. 25

Robbery. 15500 block NE. 145th St. Police apprehended three suspects in connection with an armed robbery of a gas station.

Vandalism. NE 160th St. and 15th Ave. NE. A mirror was broken off a vehicle.

Larceny. 1600 block N. 178th St. A purse and a book bag were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The book bag was later found in a neighbor’s yard.

Larceny. 1300 block N 205th St. Monitors were stolen from an office supply store.

Auto theft. 800 block NE 152nd St. A car was stolen after it was involved in a hit and run.

Larceny. 17200 block 15th Ave. NE. Beer and food totaling over $300 was stolen.

Jan. 24

Suspicious circumstances. A subject was seen contacting vehicles in a fast food drive thru asking for $30 for a room to stay in overnight.

Disturbance. 3400 block NE 147th St. Police responded to a birthday with a DJ and advised party throwers to lower the volume.

Suspicious person. 1500 block N. 200th St. Police found a person with a history of tagging sitting at a local park in the middle of the night. The suspect claimed to be out of the tagging business.

Jan. 23

Suspicious circumstances. 3600 block NE 155th St. A subject rang a resident’s doorbell and then placed their hand over the peephole.

Theft. 17100 block Bothell Way NE. A store manager claimed a journal valued at $3.99 was stolen by a juvenile. The journal did not appear to be in new condition so the officer recommended that the juvenile receive a warning and the manager agreed.

Criminal warrant. NE 161st St. and First Ave. NE. Suspects were contacted in a local park after hours consuming alcohol and playing loud music. Two suspects had warrants, one was a runaway and the other two were released.

Vandalism. 18000 block Aurora Ave. N. Unknown people spray painted tags “KIDD”, “ATE”, “DECAY” and “NWR” on the exterior of a building.

Vandalism. 1900 block N 198th St. Resident reported spray painted on their residential fence.

Vandalism. 1800 block N. 199th St. Someone spray painted a fence.

Larceny. 15700 block Greenwood Ave. A victim reported stolen items from her front yard.

Burglary. 15800 block 25th Ave. NE. A resident who returned home noticed that a closet door was open and his front door was unlocked. Suspects are believed to have entered the residence through a bedroom window.

Larceny. 15300 block Aurora Ave. N. Someone shoplifted cigarettes from a grocery store.

Jan. 22

Theft. 17100 block Bothell Way NE. Money was stolen from the front counter of a restaurant.

Traffic accident. 14800 block 39th Ave. NE. A vehicle hit a Honey Bucket truck and a tire on the truck was damaged. Neither driver was injured.
