EdCC takes third place
The Edmonds Community College baseball team fell short in its quest for a third straight NWAACC championship.
The Tritons ended up placing third at the NWAACC tournament after losing 7-6 to Lower Columbia in the semifinals May 30 at Tri Cities Stadium in Pasco.
Edmonds, the North Division champion, wrapped up the season 38-9. Lane defeated Lower Columbia 3-2 in the championship game.
A week earlier, the Edmonds Community College softball team tied Shoreline for fifth place at the NWAACC tournament. Edmonds won the North Division title and finished with an overall record of 26-15.
Locals tapped as all-stars
Mountlake Terrace’s Brianna Knight and Edmonds-Woodway’s Brynn Noack are among the players named to Wesco-Northwest League team for the first annual Senior All-Star Challenge to be played at 5:30 p.m. June 4 at Fort Dent in Tukwila.
