Register for golf tourney
Registrations are now being accepted for the 74th annual Snohomish County Amateur golf tournament, scheduled for May 30-31 and June 6 at three county sites.
This year’s rotation of courses includes Marysville’s Cedarcrest Golf Course, Mill Creek Country Club and Everett Golf and Country Club.
The event, sponsored by Dwayne Lane’s car dealerships, is open to men’s club members at all Snohomish County courses with a maximum handicap of 20.8. The fee for the tournament is $165 or $110 for high school players, and entry forms are available in the pro shops at most courses in the county.
The entry deadline is May 21, though late sign-ups may be accepted if the field is not filled to a maximum of 208.
Blair to coach all-star team
Karen Blair, who guided Meadowdale to the Class 3A girls basketball state championship, and Bill Resler, who led Roosevelt to the 4A title, will co-coach the 3A/4A West team in the 2004 Girls Basketball All-State Games to be played June 19 at Mead High School in Spokane.
