Gymnasts advance

Brier’s Jeramie Hardi and two of his Cascade Elite Gymnastics teammates will compete at the 2004 Men’s Junior Olympic National Gymnastics Championships next month in San Diego.

Hardi earned a gold medal at the Region II meet April 3-4 at Montana State University. He finished first on floor, second on pommel and vault and third on bars for an all-around score of 51.6 points.

Shoreline’s Adam Yaw took the silver and Mountlake Terrace’s Alex Paek will go as a regional team alternate. All three Cascade Elite Gymnasts are coached by Darius Campbell.

Gun range hThe National Rifle Association’s Women on Target program is sponsoring a women’s only instructional shooting clinic from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 1 at the Kenmore Gun Range in Bothell. The clinic features training in the safe handling of shotguns and the fundamentals of shooting. The fee is $35. Pre-register for the clinic by April 15.
