‘Sox make donations

The Everett AquaSox donated $11,000 last week to three Everett non-profit organizations. The ballclub donated $5,000 to both the Everett Public Library and the Sno-Isle Regional Library System. The remaining $1,000 went to Cocoon House.

The money given to the library systems will be used to fund their 2004 youth summer reading programs. The AquaSox have contributed to the programs for the past five years.

The donation given to Cocoon House will go toward its Building Dreams Capital Campaign. Joan Sperandio, co-owner and vice president of the ballclub, is an honorary chair of the Capital Campaign fund.
