Edmonds Community College sophomore volleyball player Danielle Leong was named the NWAACC Northern Region Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 15-21. Leong earned the award based on her play both as a setter and libero. She has 54 digs, six ace serves, 18 kills, six stuff blocks and averages 9.4 assists per game.
“Her all-star awards at both the Bellevue and Spokane tournaments speak to her style of play,” said Edmonds coach Bill Kellogg. “She is the defensive model for the team to rise to.”
