Keane takes 11th at state

Meadowdale’s Jonathan Keane tied for 11th place at the Class 4A state boys golf championships June 2 at Indian Canyon Golf Course in Spokane.

Keane finished with a two-round total of 143. Nick Grigsby of Central Valley followed his first-round 66 with an even-par 72 to win the individual title at 6-under-par 138.

In the Class 3A state tournament Lynnwood’s Mike Olson tied for 16th and Ricardo Aguayo was 20th.

Brewe leaves SPU women

Meadowdale graduate Quinn Brewe, a freshman and key frontline reserve for Seattle Pacific University’s national runner-up team, has decided not to return next season.

Brewe did not request a release to play elsewhere. Brewe played in 28 of 33 games, averaging 5.5 points and 5.4 rebounds in 17.2 minutes per game.

Coleman ties for first place

Meadowdale graduate Keith Coleman finished in a three-way tie for first in the professional gross division at the Western Washington Chapter PGA Pro-Member Series event June 3 at Tumwater Valley.

Golf Course.

Coleman and Keith Liedes of First Tee of Olympia and Dan Harnngton of Meadow Park Golf Course all finished with a 68.
