Locals move on to state

Several area golfers qualified for the Washington Junior Golf Association’s state championship, which will be July 28-30 at the Everett Golf and Country Club.

Advancing to state were Edmonds’ Andrew Gihm (boys 16-17 division), Edmonds’ Jonathan Keane (boys 16-17), Lynnwood’s Francis Santiago (boys 14-15), Mill Creek’s Ryan Young (boys 14-15), Mill Creek’s Sean Fitzpatrick (boys 14-15), Edmonds’ James Demopoulos (boys 8-11), Mountlake Terrace’s Daniel Nelson (boys 8-11) and Lynnwood’s Kimberly Santiago (girls 8-11).

Team seeking hoop players

The Mill Creek Wolfpack Youth Basketball Association is looking for girls in grades 4-8 for the 2004-05 season. Players must live within Jackson High School’s enrollment area. The registration deadline is July 31.
