Lane closure on Bothell-Everett

Washington State Department of Transportation crews will restrict traffic on the Bothell-Everett Highway to one lane on Sunday, July 27 to Monday, July 28, to install a culvert beneath the road.

The closure will be in effect from 5 a.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday between 151st and 153rd streets.

Crews will be installing a larger culvert beneath the roadway to help control flooding and improve access for fish swimming upstream. The replacement work is part of the widening project underway on the roadway within Mill Creek.

Mill Creek Little League fundraiser

Mill Creek Little League is trying to raise money to build a scoreboard at the new Mill Creek Sports Park, which is currently under construction at the corner of Trillium Boulevard and the Bothell-Everett Highway.

The city’s budget for the project did not include funds for a scoreboard, which has an estimated cost of between $6,000 and $10,000.

Commemorative engraved pavers are being sold by Mill Creek Little League in order to raise money for the purchase of a scoreboard. These pavers will be placed in the “Walk of Fame,” which will be located around the concession stand. Pavers are $75 for 4-inch-by-8-inch tile or $150 for an 8-inch-by-8-inch square.

For more information, call Tom Davis at 425-481-4904 or Holli Redington at 425-337-7210.
